A normal hammer isn't, but that's hardly an ideal murder weapon. For killing someone, you'd want the kind they used in the game.

I suppose... but any hammer would suffice as a murder weapon really, ideal or not. The ideal murder weapon would be a silenced pistol, surely? and I'm pretty sure there weren't any laying around in there.

You're unlikely to knock such a big guy out with ease using only a normal hammer, and it would be difficult to strike again after losing the element of surprise. Plus, screaming.

The rooms were soundproof, and please don't tell me a hammer wouldn't work... I used one to smash down a wall, they deal a pretty hefty blow. And, even if he survived the first blow, he'd be unconscious or dazed, leaving you open to deal as many blows as needed.

No need to be like that...
with a normal hammer, it would be hard to kill someone, and knocking them unconscious is also not guaranteed. I'm also pretty sure not all of the rooms were soundproof.

It said the bedrooms were soundproof, hence why I said I'd get to his room. I also need to do that for the switching toolkits I mentioned. Please, for the love of god, where do you get your hammers?? It has a heavy bit of metal on the end for hitting things! I'm not being angry, I'm just trying to get my point across: you can kill people with a hammer!

You CAN kill people with just about anything, including a sewing needle. However, that doesn't make it easy. Even if you manage to get a direct hit using your full strength, that doesn't even guarantee the person will be rendered unconscious. Also, weren't the hammers in the toolkits actually miniature?

I don't think it ever describes anything other than the screwdriver. Look, if it's a normal hammer, it would kill (there have been LOTS of cases where a hammer was used to kill someone), so my theory would work.
If it was indeed a miniature hammer, I concur, it would be difficult to kill him, so you'd be right. In the case of that being correct, I would like to take this opportunity to edit hitting him with a hammer to taking the screwdriver and stabbing him (please don't argue this one as well, you CAN stab people with a screwdriver) in the head.

Fine, fine. A hammer cannot kill anyone. I really hope for your sake you never meet any crazy people with hammers, but if someone runs at me with a hammer, I'll be smart enough to run.
